Westland Fire started in the 1980s being a small sole-operator fire extinguisher servicing business. Since 2006 WFE has added a number of services such as testing fire alarms and backflow preventers, emergency lights and fire doors, and undertaking annual building warrants of fitness (BWOF).
With changes in 2021, the company now has more resources and can offer a wider range of services. We are now the only fully accredited fire protection contractor located in the Westland Region, and can design, install and maintain fire alarms, fire sprinklers and gas flood systems from our Greymouth base. We are able to pull on the extensive design resources FFP has to offer in Canterbury and apply these with installations in Westland.
Because we offer so many services, we can now manage almost all of the building warrant of fitness services in buildings across the region. We travel regularly from Karamea to Haast and can provide savings for your building not only by reducing the cost of routine maintenance but undertaking repairs locally for almost any issue – rather than having to incur the costs of travel from Christchurch. Our experienced team also coordinate the certification of other services such as ventilation and lifts and we issue the compliance documents direct to council on your behalf.
We can combine many of these inspections so they are undertaken together, and we can spread the costs of the inspections throughout the year into regular quarterly payments to ease the burden of the costs for your business.
